Junior Editor’s Quiz on Bigfoot
Question; What is Bigfoot
Answer; Also called Sasquatch and Omah. Bigfoot is a large, hairy, ape-like animal which reportedly roams the forests of the Pacific Northwest. It is between six to eight feet tall and walks erect. Coloring varies from grey to reddish brown to dark brown or black. It has human-like feet whose prints measure 14 to 18 inches in length.
Bigfoot was named Sasquatch by the British Colombia Indians over a century ago. The Stories of the man-animal persist and there have been more than 750 sightings or footprints in the past hundred years. Evidence of the creature has been found from northern California to Alaska.
There is still no concrete evidence confirming Bigfoot’s existence. A film exists of a female walking into the forest and disagreement over whether or not the film was faked is widespread. Never-the-less, a carcass it still to be found.
{Kathy Sagul of Columbus, Ga. Wins a prize for this question. You can win $10 cash plus AP’s handsome World Yearbook if your question, mailed on a postcard to Junior Editors in care of this newspaper, is selected for a prize.}
