The bones are from a deer. The point where the first visible impression is to where the end is broken off is about 8 inches. The first molar ( square) tooth mark to the end of the bone is six inches. That first tooth is 1.5 plus inches long and the second one is about two inches.

So the inside of the jaw is somewhere between 6-8 inches and possibly longer since the bone is broken off.

I thought about taking it but every time I got close I kept hearing movement. I was afraid I wouldn't make it out with that...

Interesting..... With your close ups... they seem to pixelate a lot.... curse of the camera... Can you give us more info on the activity that you are having? The structure pics are also interesting. For me pics alone don't say much. But that is me.
