Judaculla the Cherokee Devil of Native American lore. Otherwise known and associated with the name Tsul Kalu or "slanted eyed giant".
Judaculla was a great creature and was believed to be able to leap across the mountains. Very spiteful towards the Cherokee Nation for being called "ugly" in their native tongue.
Tsul Kalu is said to be able to read a person's thoughts, even control their minds at will.
Judaculls, said to have dwelled in the cave atop "Devil's Courthouse" mountain. Judaculla Rock is a piece of soapstone at the foot of a mountain in the Appalachian mountains said to have the handprint of Judacalla/Tsul Kalu and glyphs carved into it, said to be put there by the monster himself.
Said to have fallen in love and married a Cherokee squaw, Tsul Kalu took his bride back to his mountain home.
The Tsul Kalu said that if the tribe fasted for 7 days and did not raise the war hoop that he would visit the tribe and reward them. The 7th day came and one of the tribe had snuck food and ate during the fast and when he saw the Tsul Kalu, he let out the war hoop. This in turn made Tsul Kalu very angry and he turned his back on the tribe and continues to be angry with the Cherokee Nation even to this day.
