The John Bindernagel Wing is dedicated to another scientist who threw caution to the wind and accepted that Bigfoot was real.

Wikipedia wrote: John Albert Bindernagel (December 22, 1941 – January 17, 2018) was a wildlife biologist who sought evidence for Bigfoot since 1963. He published a book in 1998 entitled North America's Great Ape: the Sasquatch (ISBN 0-9682887-0-7). His second book, The Discovery of the Sasquatch – Reconciling Culture, History, and Science in the Discovery Process, was published in 2010.

Bindernagel grew up in Ontario, attended the University of Guelph, and received a PhD in Biology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He moved to British Columbia in 1975 largely because the region was a hot spot for Bigfoot sightings. Over the years, he collected casts of tracks that he believed belonged to Bigfoot. He also claimed to have heard the creature near Comox Lake in 1992, comparing its whooping sound to that of a chimpanzee. Bindernagel believed that the Bigfoot phenomena should receive more attention from serious scientists, but remarked, "The evidence doesn't get scrutinized objectively. We can't bring the evidence to our colleagues because it's perceived as taboo."

Bindernagel was a true pioneer in the pseudoscientific field of cryptozoology and was a regular on the classic History Channel show MonsterQuest. Bindernagel and Dr. Jeff Meldrum often appeared together on the show and had a real-life friendship. Together they formed the bedrock of the Bigfoot Research Community. Bindernagel was a familiar face on the History Channel appearing on a number of their specials.

Despite the rumored differences with Moneymaker Bindernagel was a curator with the BFRO until his death. It was rumored that before his death Bindernagel traveled with a group of researchers, including Sally Ramy, to see a dying Sasquatch called Fox. The term "Sasquatch" refers to a mythical humanoid, often the subject of hoaxes and unsubstantiated rumors, such as Bindernagel's reputed "encounter."

Bindernagel died on January 17, 2018 at the age of 76. His cause of death was determined as prostate cancer.

Anyway, as I stand before God, I did not make this up!

Not saying it was Sq/BF/DM/Yeti... but it was strange. And I am locking my doors tonight for sure!

And just I was turning away, I thought I heard snort -- which could have been deer or maybe cattle... but... I do not know.

I did not have the creepy feeling I normally get in these situations... so I really do not know what to make of it.
@ yankeesearch « Tue 12:53 am »
One detail I forgot to mention: the whoop had almost a human like talk after it on both occasions.
@ yankeesearch « Tue 12:52 am »
I walked back to the other side, and thought I heard a knock...
@ yankeesearch « Tue 12:51 am »
Cattle about 1/8th mile away disappeared... and strangely at that location: it sounded like something banged the metal fence. Not loud... but never ever heard it before tonight.
@ yankeesearch « Tue 12:50 am »
Two whoops... and some deer scattering (they may have been scattering because of me).
