‘Big Foot’ is reported now in Mississippi
Corinth, Miss. (UPI) – Something is lurking in the hills of Alcorn County, but nobody seems to know quite what. Whoever or whatever it is, it’s been leaving monster-sized tracks around Alcorn County. The footprints – nearly 15 inches long and 6 ½ inches wide – were first found March 14 near Smith Bridge Road north of U.S. 71. Since then, other huge tracks have been reported about five miles from the bridge near Hatchie Chapel Church. Joe McKewen, local photographer and naturalist said Tuesday the tracks are “very authentic looking,” but he thinks they are a hoax. “At certain places the heel would dig in a little deeper. At some places its toes would grab in deeper,” he said. “It looked just like tracks a human would make if he were walking.” McKewen said for the creature to make such tracks it would have to be at least eight feet tall and weigh about 450-500 pounds. About two years ago, there were reports of a “big hairy creature” seen around Alcorn County. “Two boys said that some large hairy creature knocked their cabin door down and started in on them,” McKewen said. “and they left the cabin.” A farmer also reported the same type creature entering his field.
