This is the official statement from the MABRC Executive Director concerning the Honobia Oklahoma Bigfoot Conference 2010, no other statement outside of this one is condoned or supported by the MABRC regardless who it comes from.

The 2009 Honobia Bigfoot Conference was a resounding success, and quite literally changed how a conference should be done. The MABRC and it's members spent large amounts of their own money and time to make this event a success, without any benefit to their research or to obtaining better equipment.

After the event, many of the members who have helped put on this event for the last several years, held a discussion and the decision was made for the MABRC to host their own Bigfoot Conference in 2011, giving us 2 years to accumulate more research and evidence that could be presented at that conference. At the same time, the proceeds for such an event would be used to buy equipment to aid in the research of the many researchers associated with the MABRC.

Despite some individuals taking extreme measures and claiming that there will be no 2010 Honobia Conference, there will be, to what extent, we seriously do not know. We do know that no research group will be hosting the event.

The MABRC will be in the area during the conference and festival in 2010, and have been invited by the organizers to actually attend the event and participate if the MABRC so desires. The departure of the MABRC from the conference was done under very friendly terms and there is no ill will involved. We just have to do what is in the best interest of the MABRC.
